Estimator - Apply Now

Responsibilities:

​

  • Analyze customer supplied documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates.

  • Effectively prepare estimates for complex jobs and solve complicated issues.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and contractors.

  • Work with estimating team to ensure at estimates are prepared and sent to customers in a timely manner.

  • Evaluate processes and develop new methods to increase efficiencies and propose new policies.

Knowledge/Skills:

​

  •  A minimum of 3 years estimating experience

  •  Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications for materials

  •  Should have project management experience

  •  Proficient in both AutoCAD

  •  Excellent time-management and organizational skills

  •  Excellent communication and customer service skills

  •  Able to work with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Purchasing Officer - Apply Now

Responsibilities:

​

  • Responsible for all purchasing, including material for inventory, jobs, sub-contracting services, and miscellaneous purchases for Custom Metal Fabrication, Laser & Plasma Cutting, and Welding shop. This includes obtaining quotes and making purchasing decisions based on the best price and delivery date.

  • Assist Senior Estimator with reviewing jobs for layout and material takeoffs.

  • Liaise with the Foreman to ensure that material and consummables inventory is maintained and restocked as needed.

Knowledge/Skills:

​

  •  General knowledge of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum required.

  • Experience in manufacturing an asset.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to work efficiently and multitask.

  • Must have excellent communication skills.

Laser/Plasma Table Operator - Apply Now

Responsibilities:

​

  • Program and operate laser and plasma tables

  • Must be able to effectively read and interpret blueprints/schematics to perform accurate set-ups

  • Perform quality control on parts cut to ensure they meet drawing specs

  • Organizing, labelling and getting parts ready to ship

  • Responsible for personal safety and those around him/her. Maintains excellent housekeeping standards.

Knowledge/Skills:

​

  • Experienced operator with a minimum of 2 years experience (Experience operating a Mazak Laser, Multicam Plasma, and Amada Laser tables is an asset)

  • Knowledge of different grades and gauges of material

  • Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent verbal and communication skills

  • Must be able to work both individually and in a team environment

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Brake Press Operator - Apply Now

Requirements:

​

  • Must be able to effectively read and interpret blueprints/schematics to perform accurate set-ups

  • Must be physically fit; able to safely load/unload tooling, set up equipment and handle larger pieces with the aid of a crane and/or co-worker. We work with material ranging from light gauge to heavy plate (1” +), some pieces can be very heavy.

  • Must be able to set up and operate Brake Press and Shear to form/cut various materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.) according to work order specifications.

​

Knowledge/Skills:

​

  • 3-5 years experience

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Work well under supervision

  • Willingness to cross-train and learn to operate, or experience operating a CNC Plasma cutter is an asset

  • Experience with Rolling an asset, but optional

Shop Helper - Apply Now

We are seeking a hard-working and energetic person with a strong desire to learn for an entry-level position in our custom metal fabrication shop.


Duties will include assisting with shipping/receiving, operating a forklift, doing finish work on parts that come off our laser cutting table, and learning how to operate shop equipment.


Applicants must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and have their own transportation. Shop experience is an asset.
