We can both hot and cold roll plates, depending on material and thickness. Our experienced staff is a team of plate rolling experts. We work with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum materials, creating such products as enclosures, channels, frames, hoppers, cones, arcs, rolled tanks, chutes, guards, and many other items involving rolling and multiple bends.     COVID-19 RESPONSE PLAN - AMENDMENT 1 A. Purpose In our continued effort to maintain a safe and healthy workplace, Midwest Fabricators Ltd. has amended its COVID-19 Response Plan to reflect recent changes to Alberta’s public health guidelines. ​ Midwest Fabricators Ltd.’s COVID-19 Response Plan is subject to change at any time as per Alberta Health Services guidelines. B . Mandatory Public Health Restrictions Lifted Effective June 14, 2022, all remaining mandatory public health restrictions relating to COVID-19 were lifted. Mandatory isolation requirements were also lifted; however, isolation is still recommended for individuals who test positive or have symptoms not related to a pre-existing illness or health condition. Further, Midwest Fabricators Ltd. expects employees to remain home until symptoms are resolved so they do not infect others. ​ C. Recommendations for Isolation and Wearing Masks Any employee who tests positive for COVID-19 or has symptoms not related to a pre-existing condition should follow the isolation and masking recommendations below: Fully Vaccinated Employees – Isolate for a minimum of 5 days or until symptoms resolve, whichever is longer, starting the first day of symptoms or positive test. Following isolation, wear a mask at all times when around others for up to 5 more days (10 days total). Not Fully Vaccinated Employees - Isolate for 10 days starting the first day of symptoms or positive test, whichever is longer. Employees with Symptoms but Negative COVID-19 Test - Stay home and away from others until symptoms resolve.Emp Proof of a negative COVID-19 test and/or a medical note is not required to return to work once the recommended isolation period is complete; however, the employee must contact their manager and communicate their health status regularly. ​ ​ D. Employee Responsibilities Wash your hands following proper techniques as posted, frequently and after touching any communal surfaces. When washing your hands is not practical, use a hand sanitizer. Disposable gloves can be worn but should not replace the handwashing protocol. Avoid touching your face, nose, or mouth. Observe respiratory etiquette by coughing or sneezing into a bent elbow, and promptly disposing of used tissues in a lined garbage bin. Clean your personal use items (coffee mugs, phones, etc.) frequently. Do not use a co-worker’s tools or materials or touch anything in their work area/office without their knowledge and/or consent. Clean all shared items (coffee pots, microwaves, etc.), tools/equipment (drills, wrenches, etc.) and areas (lunchroom tables) after each use. Use a Health Canada Approved cleaning product or disinfecting wipes. Support co-workers with friendly reminders if a protocol is not being followed. Observation of potentially harmful protocol breaches (i.e. continuous/frequent coughing and sneezing, or close contact without appropriate PPE) should be reported. Communicate any physical/psychological stress to your manager, supervisor, human resource personnel, or health and safety personnel. Although Alberta Health Services has lifted all masking mandates, please be respectful of fellow employees. If an employee chooses to wear a mask, fellow employees should respect that choice. If working in close contact with an employee who chooses to wear a mask, please respect their wishes if they request that you wear a mask as well for the duration of the close contact. Midwest Fabricators will not tolerate any harassment of fellow employees for choosing to wear a mask or not wear a mask. E. Continued Preventative Measures In the interest of reducing COVID-19 exposure and managing hazards related to COVID-19, Midwest Fabricators Ltd. will continue to observe the preventative measures previously implemented. This includes providing personnel with the appropriate means to manage COVID-19 hazards and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
